The GP107 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 132 mm² and 3,300 million transistors. i recently finished assembling my first 'proper' hack (non-prebuilt hardware, aiming for 100 functionality) using dortanias OC guide, and ive found that it seems rather sluggish, without an obvious culprit. ![]() This ensures that all modern games will run on GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Built on the 14 nm process, and based on the GP107 graphics processor, in its GP107-400-A1 variant, the card supports DirectX 12. Also the difference between 1400mb/s seq reads and 2800mb/s reads in the real world would be basically unnoticeable. The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti was a mid-range graphics card by NVIDIA, launched on October 25th, 2016. The speeds that are quoted on the specs are typically a best case scenario, hence the real world speeds of ssd's are typically lower than the manufacturer quoted speeds. Thanks in advance to whoever helps me out with this. New to this NVME stuff so not 100% sure if its slow or working correctly so please forgive any silly questions I may have asked and if more info is needed let me know and I'll happily provide it. The GeForce GTX 1050 ti gives you the power to take on todays next-gen titles in full 1080p with room to spare. With the latest NVIDIA Pascal architecture the GTX 1050 Ti displays stunning visuals and great performance at 1080p. As I don't have an Optane drive I don't think it's this but if someone could sense check me on that I'd appreciate it along with any ideas as to why I'm not able to get the full speeds advertised.ĭon't know if its helpful but here's the userbenchmark result: The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti hits the perfect spot for that upgrade you know you need, but at the price you want. Is it something to do with the mode in the BIOS being set as SATA or AHCI? The only option I see to change is AHCI and that's to M.2/Optane Genie which it says would require the drive to be wiped. The drive is installed in the M.2_1 slot and the mechanical drive is plugged into SATA port 2 which if I'm reading the manual right should mean the nvme drive is connected vie the PCIe lanes and the mechanical drive via SATA. In the BIOS under the integrated peripherals setting I have it set up in SATA and AHCI. I have it hooked into an MSI Z370 Tomahawk board paired with an i7 8700k with the 4.7Ghz all core overclock and 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB DDR4 3000Mhz Ram, a Founders Edition RTX 2080 and a 1TB Toshiba 7200rpm mechanical drive. ![]() The write speed seems to exceed the advertised speed so I'm more than happy with that however the read speed is far below where it should be. This made me question it so I also ran AS SSD Benchmark and got this result: I did a userbenchmark test and that gave me the result below: Its advertised speeds are up to 2800MB/s read and 600MB/s write. ![]() I have the above mentioned Samsung 128GB PM961 NVME M.2 drive which I'm using as a boot drive for Windows. I have a MSI Laptop which have this spec : -i7-7700HQ -GTX 1050 2 GB -8 GB of RAM While my Asus have this spec : -i7-8750H -GTX 1050Ti 4 GB -8 GB of RAM Seeing from the sheets, my Asus should perform better than the MSI right But the truth is kinda flipped.
